Stephanie Armer, LCSW, is a psychotherapist who has worked in the social work field since 2003. Stephanie provides a structured and safe environment in which clients feel comfortable identifying goals and working towards a more positive and fulfilling life experience. She collaborates with people to identify and build on their preexisting strengths, develop and utilize coping mechanisms, and increase mindfulness. Stephanie strives to enable people to embrace and cultivate these tools utilizing strength-based therapies, while creating a treatment approach that meets the individual needs of the client.
She uses a dynamic approach in her work, using training from Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and The Befriending Your Body program created by Ann Saffi Biasetti along with a variety of other strength-based and somatic techniques. Stephanie works primarily with people ages 18 and older to provide support in a therapeutic setting. She has particular interest and experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, disordered eating, eating disorders, and family conflict.
